The male Northern Harrier Hawk in flight against a clear blue sky at the Baylands in Palo Alto, CA. He's scouring the sloughs below looking for rodents and other small creatures. The Harrier's sharp talons are clearly visible, his bright yellow eyes seeing everything that moves. He flew right past me and I was lucky enough to spot it and raise my camera up fast enough to capture this brief encounter with this magnificient creature.
